FMCG Sales Manager

Job description / Role

Our client, a group of companies is looking to fill in the post of FMCG SALES MANAGER to be based in Angola.

PRODUCTS: Rice, Flour, Oil and other household products.

EXPERIENCE: Knowledge of the supply and demand figures in Africa particularly in Angola. Minimum 5 years Sales experience in FMCG preferably Household products.

Job Description

This position will include the service elements, products and management of sales professionals and the role would suit an experienced Sales Manager in FMCG having solid experience in sales.

Candidate should be able to deal with all levels of management, and understand the market needs, have a proven track record & experience with a hard core career in sales at a high level, strong leadership skills and confidence.

Should have high energy levels and the ability to motivate a team of sales professionals and maximize opportunities for business development.

Responsible for key accounts management of large dealers and ensure that systems and procedures are in place and must have the skills to forecast accurately on volumes and must be a team player.

Planning and Execution:
- Understand the market and consumer behavior
- Brief the team about the product trends and the effect
- Be able to deliver activities or projects against the time frames, budgets and milestones
- Participate in the execution of product launches and promotions
- Manage to monitor products are kept fresh and available for sales
- Address the critical path to ensure timely delivery and support the needs of direct customers

Business Requirements:

- Maintains product category, store classifications, product lists, prices and margin details.
- Monitor stock movement against forecasts and inventory
- Observant in product trends and competitors’ activity to guide you in product display
- Analyze data to provide product performance evaluation and plan ahead
- Ensure that communication is clear and open to the team
