The RoleThe RoleSTR Global in partnership with a Global PM Company are recruiting for a Fabrication Engineer. Working on a prestigious offshore Island Construction Project as part of the Project Management Team. In the role of Fabrication Engineer you will provide Construction expertise into EPC Engineering and Fabrication phase, in areas including: Camp and Non Process Buildings Modularization and constructability Fabrication techniques, planning, review and selection of facilities / contractor Installation methods and transport logistics Construction planning, preparation and implementation Principal Responsibilities include: Preparation and implementation of the Project Constructability Review Construction input to the construction methodology to influence optimal Non Process facilities and Utilities design Carry out reviews of Contractor proposed fabrication facilities and make recommendations Carry out a study of installation methods and make recommendations Develop the Project Fabrication and Construction Philosophy document Assist in estimating Project Fabrication and Construction costs Develop the Fabrication and Construction implementation Assist in development of Tender work scopes for EPC contractors , and assist in Technical Bid Evaluation of EPC contractors Provide input to the Project HSE Plan for the EPC phase Provide input to the Project Test, Inspection and Commissioning Philosophy Provide input to the Project Fabrication and Construction Procedures, including personnel / contractor inductions Assist in planning, organizing and implementation of the Fabrication and Construction phases. Oversee the fabrication of all Non Process Buildings and Utility package integration Oversee the installation of buildings and utilities on site In this role you will report directly the Project Manager This roles is based in the Project Management Team office until progression o the project means a move to the fabrication yard. |
RequirementsRequirementsRequisite skills and experience required will include a Degree in engineering or construction Minimum 15 years in fabrication and construction disciplines and a desirable experience in fabricating Non Process Building modules Experienced in all aspects of fabrication/construction input throughout all phases of a project |
