Job description / Role
We are looking for a Fabrication Manager to work for a Main contractor on an EPC Oil & Gas project in Basra, Iraq.
Job Role:
Responsibility for Onshore Fabrication.
Supervision of Contractor's fabrication engineering.
Assist with the implementation of Contractor's execution plan.
Review all engineering work required for the fabrication activities.
Assist Construction Manager to cover supervision of site team and project assistance.
Ensure full reporting of all fabrication activities.
Ensure that contractor HSE plan is properly compliant with Project HSE plan.
Ensure that HSE duties are properly implemented within Contractor/[Company] construction team.
Ensure that Contractor planning and progress is in line with Contractor project schedule.
Ensure that Contractor procured items are adequate in terms of quality/quantity for the onshore fabrication works.
Requirements
Candidate Requirements:
Must have a Mechanical Engineering degree
Must have at least 20 years Construction experience on Oil & Gas projects
Should be European or Iraqi nationals
Experience in welding, fabrication, lifting, load out
Experienced in team management, with experience in the Middle East
Good communication skills, coordination
European or Iraqi nationals preferred
