Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

This is a site based role and the main functions will be to review and approve technical drawing submittals and coordinate with all engineering disciplines to deliver a world class project to KEOs exacting quality standards.

Preference will be given to qualified candidates who are able to demonstrate experience in the following:

Conduct formal RISC (Inspection Requests) an informal inspections of delivered materials, installed curtain walls, panels, glazing, dimension stone, structural support framework, fixings, insulation, weather barrier, firestopping and architectural metalwork
Conduct internal and external site inspection of mock-ups, benchmarks and completed works installations
Check site conditions for suitability prior to the contractor commencing any works
Responsible for the preparation and issuance of reports site surveillance deficiency reports (SDR) and Non-Conformance (NCR) Faade Site Inspection Reports and Summarize (updates of close and open issues
Monitor the quality of materials, workmanship and methods used for installation at site are in accordance to approved specifications, drawings and methods of works
Perform inspection requests in timely manner and provide reports to confirm compliance with approved specifications, drawings and methods, or otherwise
Supervise Contractor works through daily surveillance inspections on site and monitor if works are being carried out as per approved specifications, drawings and method statements.
Review documents such as detail drawings, method statements and Inspection and Test Plan and quality procedures
Ensure works complies with approved drawings, materials contract specifications and method statements
Produce daily site inspection reports for all on-going activities and report progress of resolving non-conformance
Review all non-conformance reports raised by the team (and other) and verify corrective and preventive action to close the NCR have been satisfactorily conducted
Verify inspection and test plans are adhered to, carry out inspections, identify deviations and report to superior for action as necessary
Prior experience in the Gulf Region is preferred.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Technical Certificate or Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering would be advantageous.
Minimum 5 years relevant work experience
Good command of both written and spoken English is a pre-requisite for this role.
