Facilities Management Manager - Qatar

An established luxury retail group is seeking a Facilities Management Manager to join the team in Qatar. Reporting to Investment & Real Estate General Manager, this individual will take responsibility of the strategic management and operational delivery of all facilities management and property services delivered at all Company locations and other customers that the team provides such services to.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement transparent facility management guidelines, policies and procedures
* Coordinates facility management activities to ensure all tasks progress on schedule and within prescribed budget
* Plan, direct, coordinate and budget activities concerned with facility management including maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems.
* Regularly report to the Real Estate Manager and other Senior Company Executives on the status of Facility Management programs by means of schedule updates, meeting minutes, financial records and other reports
* Develop and maintain a continuous improvement mindset to service delivery that generates value to the business. Continuously review key performance indicators (KPI's), best practice, and review benchmarks.
* Manage Facility Management staff, reviewing their deliverables and continuously developing their knowledge and capabilities.
* Ensure that stakeholder and customer expectations are met or exceeded on all areas of the business and the clients best interests are represented with respect to contractual and technical issues
* Participate in the ongoing due diligence process of all preferred contractors and other 3rd party services used.
* Lead and promote value engineering programs that effectively reduce the operational expenses of the Company assets while continuing to achieve high standards of customer care
* Evaluation and management of internal and external resourcing requirements to support facility management activities.
* Prepare and present monthly and adhoc management reports for all programs and properties - including achievements, budget tracking, variations etc

Requirements

* Proven track record within a senior leadership role within a Middle East facilities management environment encompassing team leading and management skills
* Minimum 15 years of experience in facility management, delivering services and managing large complex property portfolios
* The manager will possess a thorough technical understanding of building engineering (MEP services) and soft services.
* Thorough knowledge of CAFM/CMMS system inputs and outputs
* Relevant tertiary education in mechanical or electrical engineering or project management, engineering or architecture
* Depth of knowledge in program and project planning, scheduling and budgeting, interior and base building construction techniques, operational readiness, and contract admin
* Excellent English written and verbal communication and presentation skills
