The RoleThe RoleThis position is responsible for assisting in developing operating guidelines and protocols pre-opening and post-opening will serve as the point person for inspection and assurance of facilities quality issues, working across the company staff to drive in quality throughout all aspects of facilities operations. Responsibilities: - Acts as principal facilities quality advisor - Manages the facilities programming, design, bidding, construction and commissioning phases - Conducts on-site inspection of contractor work including safety and quality assurance - Conducts on-site inspection of the entire facility from a facilities operations perspective - Provides reports and makes presentations to senior leadership on the quality of design and construction of facilities - Prepares the facility and associated staff for certifications and inspections from the quality aspects - Manages and works on other facilities-related projects as directed by the Facilities Director |
RequirementsRequirementsExperience: - Minimum 10 years experience in the facilities management and construction industries - Demonstrates experience in healthcare facilities operations, quality programs, construction, space planning, medical technology, architectural drawings, specifications, blueprints, thorough knowledge of skilled trades, fire and safety codes, contract documentation, and budgeting - Possesses an extremely high level of organizational skills; ability to work under pressure; sensitivity to confidential information; excellent interpersonal skills; ability to resolve problems that cross departmental lines and involve multiple parties; a professional appearance; and the ability to work with minimal supervision - High-level of computer literacy, including AutoCAD, presentation software, word processing, spreadsheet, database and web-based software experience is required - Demonstrates project management experience including the ability to provide an overview of, and make recommendations on: engineering, design and scope, contract matters, budget adjustments, proposed changes, schedule changes, time extensions and resolution of problems or questions Education: - Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, or related field, is required - Master’s degree preferred - Professional association membership focusing on healthcare facilities management and quality are preferred |
