Facilities Manager

Job description / Role

Our client are one of the leading FM & MEP main contracting firms in Qatar, as part of a leading larger construction group they have over 20 years experience in the Qatari market. They operate as a FM service provider and with their extensive in house expertise our client manage a large portfolio of work across both private and public sectors.

They are seeking to recruit a Facilities Manager to lead a 5 year Hospital Healthcare project they have recently been awarded.

Duties will include:
- Compile daily inspection checklist to monitor standard of work and completion to the schedule.
- Supervise the daily activities of team.
- Ensure optimal use of manpower and resources including sub-contractors and their staff.
- To respond in a prompt and efficient manner to all reactive issues and call centre requests.
- Control and report on the financial targets, as defined for the department.
- Set the standard operating procedures for all levels
- Ensure compliance to the local, project and legal regulations.
- Maintain an adequate administrative organization concerning General Services for all the housing and facilities.
- Make sure all departments work with the main contracts issues by General Services, like cleaning, catering, reception services, courier services, furniture suppliers, labor accommodation service provider, etc.
- Manage relevant contracts
- Liaise with HR, Administration and Line Managers in order to make forecast of labor's needs.
- Review of financial correctness of all contractual documents prior acceptance of any commitment.
- Holds progress meetings with suppliers in different areas to be up to date on latest developments in the working field.

Requirements

- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering or Building Surveying
- At least 15 years experience
- Worked for a leading FM service provider
- Currently working as a Facilities Manager or Property Manager
