Facilities Manager

An international engineering design consultancy is looking for a Facilities Manager with experience at the design and construction phase of buildings project. The position is based in Qatar.

Job Responsibilities:
- Develop a facilities strategic plan that must include preventative maintenance programs
- Develop, implement and maximise the complete use of space, systems, fixtures, equipment and building assets.
- Make recommendations in the design stage on space management, building management and renovations.
- Build resource plans and interact with procurement to mobilse resources.
- Set up and implement project planning in relation to the space management of the project.
- Work directly with the project management company to arrange the movement of supplies and people.
- Manage the resources in line with the project requirements.
- Coordinate with the client to confirm all specifications are adhered to.
- Coordinate with the structural, electrical, mechanical and public health engineers to make sure the design is to the specification the client wants.
- Keep in regular contact with the client and the major stakeholders, specifically those concerning the facilities.

Requirements

- 7 + years post qualification experience in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
- 2 + years experience in a similar position
- BSc or Equivalent in either Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Extensive understanding of the technical and operational aspects of a building
- Considerable knowledge of managing buildings projects
- Ability to conceptualize and operationalize a project
- You must have strong written and verbal communication skills
- Have strong coordination skills between different departments
