CH2M HILL Facilities Operations Assistant - Abu Dhabi, UAE

Job Purpose: As part of Enterprise Services, Facilities Operations team:

Provide general Facilities support and serve as backup to the Lead in this office housing 448 employees plus various housed clients, across five floors (48,650 sq ft of space).

Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities: This position would be responsible for assisting the Facilities Lead on daily duties related to the management and upkeep of the office, including but not limited to:

• Coordination of building maintenance
• Procurement management of kitchen, office and janitorial supplies
• Assist in the management of office vehicles and drivers
• Completion of internal reporting and/or cost and invoice review
• Backup support to reception and mailroom as needed.
• Responsible for monitoring of all expenditures for assigned areas of responsibility against budget and schedule.
• Independently handle operations of Access Control & CCTV systems once in-house training is provided.

• A degree in Science or Commerce.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing in English while proficiency in Arabic language will be advantageous.
• Minimum 3 year’s facilities services experience. Must include experience performing minor repairs and/or upgrades in an office facility with hands on experience in handling operations for Access Control, CCTV systems, vendor management, direct client interaction, and reporting. Also should have the adaptability to multi-tasking environments.
• Ability to investigate problems, formulate solutions, and communicate those solutions to internal customers and management.
• Ability to effectively organize, prioritize, and schedule work assignments with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated project management skills and abilities as applied to project team staff, contractors, vendors, and suppliers.
• Demonstrated ability in the budget preparation process and day-to-day management of operating expense budgets.
• Ability to develop and maintain record keeping systems and procedures.
• Technical knowledge of facilities maintenance, procedures, and standards.
• Knowledge of instruments, controls and energy management.
• Ability to work cooperatively across organizational lines in a dynamic and demanding work environment.
• Ability to supervise and perform safety training for all personnel internal or external on facilities related work. Knowledge of uniform building codes, fire codes, ADA, OSHA preferred.
• Minimum 5 years experience and proficiencies with MS Windows and Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Access, MS Project, and Power Point) is a mandatory requirement.
• Minimum 3 yearsexperience in assistance to various facilities related procurements.
• Must possess a valid UAE driving license.
