Employment: Full Time

A leading semi-governmental organization based in Abu Dhabi is looking to recruit experienced Facilities Technician to join their dynamic team of professionals. The desired candidates must have experience with manufacturing or printing industry. The candidate must also have at least 2 years of HVAC maintenance and repair experience

The Facilities Technician is responsible for providing facilities support and safely operating, maintaining, modifying, installing, and repairing the facilitys heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) equipment.

The responsibilities are as follows:
- Acts and behaves in a way that is compliant with company guidelines and policies, especially those relating to Environment, Health and Safety, ethics and codes of conduct.
- Responsible for the maintenance and repairs of the CPFs structure, equipment and grounds, specifically HVAC.
- Provides facilities support and services to other departments.
- Tests electrical circuits or components for continuity, using electrical test equipment.
- Tests pipes or tubing joints or connections for leaks, using pressure gauge or soap-and-water solution.
- Joins pipes or tubing to equipment and to fuel, water, or refrigerant source, to form complete circuit.
- Attends to all facilities job requests and reported faults.
- Repairs or replaces defective equipment, components, or wiring.
- Reassembles and tests equipment following repairs.
- Lays out and connects electrical wiring between controls and equipment, according to wiring diagrams, using electrician's hand tools.
- Installs, connects, and adjusts thermostats, humidistats and timers, using hand tools.
- Complies with all applicable standards, policies, and procedures, including safety procedures and the maintenance of a clean work area.
- Inspects and tests systems to verify system compliance with plans and specifications or to detect and locate malfunctions.
- Advises appropriate personnel of any system or building discrepancies discovered which are causing uncomfortable, unhealthy environmental conditions or inefficient system operation.
- Actively supports continuous improvement activities within the whole of CPF in order to maintain the companys efficiency and competitiveness.
- Supports 5S and lean principles within the facility.

Requirements

- Minimum of a high school diploma or vocational training in Electrical / Mechanical Maintenance and Repair (e.g. NVQ3)
- Minimum 2 years of HVAC maintenance and repair experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proficient in English
- Knowledgeable of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
- Knowledgeable of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of buildings or other structures
- Must be capable of installing equipment, machines, wiring, or programs to meet specifications
- Must be capable of performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed
