The Role


We are working with a family owned and operated conglomerate with variety of business lines, one of which is manufacturing of state of the art furniture, supplying to customers throughout Middle East & Europe. They are known for providing high customer service, a hard work ethos with attention to detail and expert knowledge.

They are currently seeking an experienced Division Manager for their carpentry division to be based in their office in Doha.

The primary responsibility of this Manager is to increase the revenue objective, certify the technical works, supervise and schedule the maintenance, design, build, modification, installation and construction of projects for the carpentry division. Reporting into the Managing Director, you are responsible for the P&L of the division in addition to managing a work force of over 200 people.

Responsibilities also include:

• Coordination of all factory manufacturing
• Incoming & outgoing freight management
• Factory stock management
• Ensuring high quality company standards are met or exceeded.
• Machinery maintenance program
• Implementing OHS in accordance with policy, regulation & legislation
• Maintaining a tidy and safe factory and warehouse

Requirements


Requirements


To be considered for this position, you will need to have a minimum of 10 years experience within the same sector, preferably someone who has made your way through into this capacity from a junior position and who understands the basics of carpentry and joinery works. It is mandatory you have experience managing production facilities of wooden products.

You will be experienced, have strong communication, leadership and computer skills, as well as proficient time management and planning skills. You are required to have an engineering degree and preferably an MBA.
