Millar Cameron is an international recruitment consultancy, working extensively in the functional solutions and speciality chemicals industry internationally. We are currently representing an international market-leader part of the food value chain - who are currently recruiting for an Operations Manager for their manufacturing unit in Cairo.

This person will be responsible running the quality assurance, production and supply chain teams in Cairo; reporting to the Regional Operations Director.

Operations Manager, responsibilities:
- Manage the resources and facility to ensure that operations run effectively and efficiently.
- Build a safe and sustainable environment that meets local regulations and company guidelines.
- Build a quality-conscious environment, running a functioning quality system and a process of continuous improvement.
- Protect the companys assets, intellectual property, investments.
- Manage the cross-functional team to ensure that it is a high-performing organisation that works well as a team.
- Collaborate with the business in other locations to show best practices and lessons learned.

Requirements

- Bachelors Degree educated in either an Engineering or Business field
- 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferably within food processing, food science, chemicals or pharmaceuticals
- 3 years of experience working in a management role
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Fluent spoken and written English
- Exposure to Theory of Constraints, Lean Manufacturing, TPM or Six Sigma would be an advantage
- SAP experience would be an advantage
- Experience working within an international and multinational organisation
