Factory Operations Supervisor / Floor Manager

Our client is a manufacturing company based in Sharjah and is looking for a professional individual to join their expanding team.

Job Summary:
- Supervision of the overall process of the daily operations of the factory including:
- Productivity management - within the project specifications
- Recording of output on the Production
- Quality Assurance/Quality Control
- Stock Inventory Control
- Wastage Control

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Understanding the details of every project, the input of all drawings, the objective of each project and labour requirements.
- Ability to communicate with the labourers and foreman and to assign the workload according to the productivity requirements
- The overall management of the aluminum log (Stock inventory control) ensuring the quantity received is in accordance with the specifications detailed in the Scope of work- whilst fully understanding the quantity estimated.
- The Supervisor should also engage the workforce into the process, detailing the full brief and ensuring adherence to the drawings, guidelines and specifications received in order to meet the deadlines within the Quality Control standards.
- Review productivity daily
- From a QA perspective, ensuring that goods are delivered in perfect condition and in a safe and secure manner
- Shift scheduling, upkeep and administration of time sheets and communication and collaboration with the foreman
- Conducting daily pre-shift meetings and monthly safety training meetings with employees
- Ensure employees are trained in all aspects of Health & Safety and records kept
- Using weekly manufacturing schedule and daily priorities, the supervisor assigns tasks and assignments to hourly production employees
- Monitors work performance and provides feedback to crew members to ensure safe work habits are engaged 100% of the time.
- Communicates and adheres to company policies and procedures and ensures these are communicated to the team, and accommodates language difficulties
- Upkeep of maintenance schedule accommodating equipment and/or processes in assigned segment of the manufacturing process
- Co-ordinates maintenance repairs in a manner that will minimize downtime and impact on production operations manually checking on machines and report necessary maintenance schedules ahead of time
- Completes production documentation and certifies that hourly time records reflect work performed. Comparison between achieved, actual and to be done. Update project plan if required.
- Meets or exceeds established quality standards identifying potential process improvements
- Full control and reporting of the Stock Inventory and wastage recycling
- Follow the quality assurance checklist of goods to transit

Requirements

- High School Certificate
- Previous experience working in a heavy manufacturing industrial plant - preferably Aluminum.
- Computer literate - particularly Microsoft experience
- Reporting and writing skills
- Communication skills
- Leadership & people management skills
- Able to work in a high pressure environment
- Well-Organized

Job Condition:
- +5 years of Aluminum job knowledge, experienced in the technicality of this field, able to read the drawings or at least the project plan scope of work.
- 2-4 years of supervisory experience is preferred with emphasis on process, safety, environmental, mechanical, labor relations and planning skills.
- Must reside in UAE

Additional Duties:
- Can refer leads of sales to the sales department
- Staff training
- Monitor punctuality
- May be required to supervise staff offsite
