Employment: Full Time

This senior role is responsible for managing the onsite content for this online retailer's website and other customer facing communication. The right candidate will be able to manage a team to deliver highly engaging content through exceptional planning, idea generation, editorial and most importantly a great love for fashion.

The role reports to the Managing Director and will have editorial and social media teams as direct reports.

Responsibilities
- Act as the grand mastermind of the brand voice, and develop a deep understanding of what editorial content means to the company while elevating their current offerings.
- Own the overall editorial strategy and content calendar. Oversee editorial calendar to ensure alignment across the organization and full integration of content with Buying, Merchandising, Marketing, PR and offline initiatives.
- Define a content strategy and create exciting content that initiates a conversation with the companies audience and keeps them engaged with the brand.
- Manage a team of editors, writers and copywriters to create high-quality, engaging, and sharable content.
- Source imagery for editorial content by working closely with the Buying and Production Teams, as well as the Brands; Provide relevant input into styling and fashion shoot concepts in collaboration with the Buying and Production Teams.
- Manage Social Media team to oversee implementation of social media strategy, develop brand awareness, generate inbound traffic and connect with customers across all channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.). Create editorial pieces for selected tweets and Facebook posts covering fashion style, news and advice.
- Oversee weekly marketing and product copy, ensuring it is unique in the marketplace and represents the brand voice including headlines, subhead copy, and email campaigns.
- Leverage the support infrastructure (technology, design, communications, etc) to enrich the editorial content to a best-in-class offering.
- Manage communications with fashion and lifestyle magazines to ensure presence of the company as an authority in the fashion sphere. Support fashion public relations efforts by liaising with relevant fashion magazines to provide visual and written content including product placement.
- Maintain and expand relationships across the fashion and related industries
- Protect, edit and proofread the language of the brand while also elevating it the next level.
- Project manage the launch of the new online fashion magazine. Support with creating and developing editorial content, generate ideas for photo shoots, features and interviews. Conceptualizing, producing, and editing copy for fashion stories, specifically trend and how-to-wear stories and text accompanying fashion shoots.
- Identify trends, track developments across the industry, and have a vision for the future of the company as a fashion authority.

Requirements

Experience & Skills required
- Previous experience working for an online retailer, fashion retailer or fashion magazine
- Proven ability in developing social media plans, setting targets and delivering result
- A strong knowledge of fashion, designers and brands.
- Strong writing skills.
- A real sense of runway looks and what trends are happening each season.
- Flair and individuality combined with awareness of the company.
- Able to work well within a team.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Strong fashion and styling sense.
- Proven ability to work quickly and effectively with an eye for detail.
