Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The position involves preparation and delivery of lectures to students on the Colleges Fashion Design programs based on scheduled classes.

To conduct and contribute to investigation and improvement activities in professional practice and provide learning and teaching, and knowledge transfer to the benefit of students, the institute and the wider community.

Skills Required
- Excellent interpersonal skills; and the ability to build relations and to work collaboratively.
- Outstanding knowledge of the creative fashion design process, from concept to 2D and 3D design development, fabric selection, collection and brand development
- Must possess strong skills in draping, basic/creative pattern drafting and garment construction particularly in relation to elements of pattern making
- Have a very sound knowledge in design principles, fabric properties and textiles manipulation
- Must be very familiar with textile and fashion products in order to teach students how to develop fashion collections
- Up to date with current and emerging fashion industry practice, and willingness to learn the latest innovative teaching method
- Able to handle CAD or computer skills for fashion design such adobe photo shop, illustrator and GERBER system
- Dynamic and enthusiastic, with an interest to nurture students and to help them achieve their potential in garment making skills and creative design
- Have the ability to adapt to a multicultural setting and to handle students of different nationalities

Requirements

- Bachelors Degree or Masters Degree in Fashion Design or equivalent from a recognized academic institution
- At least 5 years industry experience with a credible portfolio
- Most preferably Caucasian, or Arabian lady with foreign experience
- If from Riyadh, to be willing to transfer her Iqama, if from outside KSA willing to relocate.
