Job description / Role
WORK LOCATION: Basra / Iraq - Majnoon Oilfield
SALARY: Depend on experience (please provide current & minimum expected salary)
NATIONALITY: Only local Iraqis
No accommodation and no travel will be provided.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
PURPOSE:
To provide fit for purpose Finance Services to both the Asset and the Project in the Majnoon field
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Project and Asset Accounting activities, i.e. reporting and analysing Budget, Latest estimates, Actual and Approved Contract Values
• Contribute to month-end closing, Value of Work Done, process
• Part of in-country Accounts Payable Invoice scanning unit – to be established
• Process and booking of Rotator Expense Claims
• Petty Cash disbursement and booking in SAP system
• Iraqi Bank account operating and relationship support
• Deal with bonus and allowance payments for “perfect day”
• Set up Moveable Asset register
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS/
SPECIAL CHALLENGES:
Be part of setting up an in-country Finance Organisation from scratch whereby the knowledge and experience is with finance colleagues in Dubai. Capabilities to work virtual is a must.
Requirements
EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Bachelor degree in Accounting and/or Business Administration
Diverse Finance experience in different role for 5- 10 years
Local Iraqi National
KEY COMPETENCES
REQUIRED:
Good English speaking and writing
Good IT skills, incl. MS Office
Previous experience with different type of Accounting and Reporting systems
Capabilities to work virtual is a must.
