Position Summary:

This position is responsible for field coordination of assigned instrument and electrical project work at S-Chem’s Jubail facility located in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The Field Construction Coordinator – Instrument/Electrical (I&E) is a high profile job position whose decisions have a direct impact on employee safety, environmental regulatory compliance, & profitability. This job works as part of a project team that may be comprised of Operations, EPC Contractors, Process Engineers, Process Control, Maintenance, Reliability, Safety, Environmental and Supply & Distribution to optimize and assure safe and successful execution of assigned project work. This role provides project construction expertise & leadership to promote team work in the field among all the functional groups on the project team.
Promotes proactive safety, seeks out "at risk" behaviors'' & conditions in order to achieve the overall goal of zero incidents in alignment with the Tenets of Operation, and in support for achieving Operational Excellence (OE) Compliance.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Provides Contractor field planning coordination and oversight in support of Project Construction functions as required and directed by the Construction Manager.
• Visible safety advocate at morning safety meetings, coordination meetings, site audits, etc.
• Provide I&E constructability input to project engineers and design team.
• Ensures all I&E work is completed per project scope and applicable company specifications and standards.
• Attend meetings and site walks with other contractors, client, and site management to review and update project schedules and assist in resolving issues.
• Responsible to ensure field work progresses as scheduled.
• Responsible for safe execution of assigned projects.
• Acts as liaison between maintenance and engineering.
• May assist in project planning functions such as manpower resource plans, estimates and contractor selection.

Requirements

• Engineering or similar technical degree and 5 + years of petrochemical plant project I&E experience OR High School Diploma or GED and 10 + years of chemical plant project I&E experience. (Previous supervisory experience preferred)
• Expertise and experience with petrochemical project execution. Turnaround experience is a plus.
• Working knowledge of planning/scheduling.
• Familiar with SAP and standard office software.
• Proven ability to coordinate project Instrumentation and electrical construction.
• Demonstrated ability to lead with a record of proactive accomplishment.
• Good communication skills, strong technical, troubleshooting, and analytical skills, self-starter with solid planning and organizational skills, the ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time, ability to resolve conflicts with other functional groups and reach agreements.
