Employment: Full Time

Job Title: Field Engineer
Location: Dubai & Sites
Reporting to: Field Team Leader

Overall Purpose:
• Accountable for the technical delivery of projects from pre FAT through to commissioning;
• Responsible for the installation, quality inspection, site inspection reporting, On site Material management , Site status updating;
• Supervision of second party contractors;
• Maintaining strict quality control standards aligned to the prescribed Quality Standards.

Principal Job Responsibilities:
• Carry out assigned site activities and ensure installation quality and HSC standards are maintained;
• Maintain constant progress update to the Head Field Engineering and relevant Team Lead/s;
• Ensure full preparation is undertaken at FAT and pre FAT stages to include technical brief understanding and ensure system specific preparation;
• Understand the importance and delineation between the Contractor and Client and Company;
• Supervision of second party contractor/s to 3WN Quality Standards and associated activities;
• Review and resolve day to day site project issues;
• Collect and control quality of Site Audit Report, Site Acquisition documents, Site Drawings etc., including Execution documents;
• Address or escalate problems from Subcontractors;
• Generate site activity reports for all involved site activities;
• Mark up for preparation of as-built drawings and return to engineering for processing and submission to clients;
• Be involved in FAT;
• Execute FAT and commissioning as directed by Field Team Lead and Lead Engineer;
• Carry out Field Site Surveys as directed;
• Undertake first line support as directed by TAC;
• Mentor and coach junior engineering staff as required;
• Any other reasonable duties as requested by management.

HSE Responsibilities
• Shall comply with instructions relating to safety at the place of work; adhere to suitable means of protection against: injuries, occupational diseases, fire and other hazards which may result from the use of machinery and other equipment and ensure that he / she comply with personal protective equipment requirements.
• Mandatory reporting of incidents / accidents and near misses.
• Participation in risk assessments and complying with legal and other requirements.

Requirements

Required Competencies:
• Education : Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunication Engineering or equivalent
• Experience: Minimum 5 years experience out of which few years in Oil & Gas sector site based experience.
• Thorough understanding of Oil Gas, Transport and Utilities infrastructure and associated systems.
• Ability to work autonomously in the field environment undertaking all installation activities required to complete allocated assigned tasks;
• Sound understanding and use of telecoms, security and wireless related test equipment;
• Desired skills in structured cabling and fibre optic, RF feeder cabling installation work/s;
• Demonstrated ability to maintain and complete documentation required SAT and FAT commissioning activities;
• Good written and verbal English skills;
• Proficient in the use of MS Office applications;
• Use of auto CAD lite and Viso applications.

*CCIE certified and/or candidates with strong PA/GA experience will be given preference!
