Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- To interview respondents in a professional manner and record respondent information accurately
- Ensure you understand the requirements of each project assigned, in terms of the project questionnaire, survey method and support forms.
- Introduce yourself and Nielsen when contacting/ screening people for a project
- Read the questionnaire script as written
- Ensure all responses and outcomes recorded, are true and accurate
- Ensure your ID Badge is current and displayed at all times
- Project quotas are adhered to
- Ensure you understand all confidentiality and security requirements.
- Ensure at the end of an interview the closure is read as per the script and that respondents are left with a positive view of Nielsen.
- To ensure interviewing:
- Starts and finishes on the specified dates, to meet the despatch schedules
- Is carried out within the standard hours of interviewing
- CAPI: to fully understand how to use and care for the device. This includes maintaining a usable battery level, and syncing the data after interviewing (or as requested).
- To respond to queries in a timely manner.

To ensure:
- Any concerns regarding training and/or project requirements are communicated to the Supervisor.
- Your dress code is appropriate for the interviewing environment.
- Time, expenses, kms/ mileage claimed is true and accurate
- Any non project related queries, issues of concern are communicated to the Supervisor.
- The Supervisor receives feedback on any work related/ security incidents.

To maintain a professional and courteous manner with Respondents.

To foster honest, two-way communication between yourself and your Supervisor

Requirements

- Good communication, people skills and a pleasant manner.
- An understanding of the interviewing process.
- Well organised and reliable.
- The ability to follow detailed instructions.
- Good command of the local language.
- Good command of the English language (verbal & written) would be an advantage.
- Methodical and accurate.
- Previous interviewing experience would be an advantage.
- CAPI: Computer literacy and accurate keyboard skills
