Job Overview:

Our LNG Carriers Service team operates globally to ensure operational availability of our customers fleets. The operations fields are the LNG carriers at the loading ports and discharging ports and it is eventually required to sail with the vessel. This requires a high readiness to meet the requirements of the logistics supply chain of natural gas and it is expected to carry out emergency maintenance visits. The Field Service Engineer is an actor by profession, he has to work in close collaboration with his service team, centers of expertise and support teams from the world and enjoy the contact with the customer. The Field Service Engineer is responsible for the proper maintenance, regular monitoring and support of the distributed control system and related systems associated. Must demonstrate independence and capacity reporting of actions, status on remains to be done and suggest improvements related to the availability and reliability of our on-boarded systems. Position’s time will be spent most of the time working in the customer’s facility.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure customer satisfaction, process uptime and system performance of the installed base
• Cover all aspects of preventative and corrective maintenance
• Troubleshooting and resolution of failure
• Understand customer needs and extend service support at remote sites for prompt issue closure
• Hardware troubleshooting
• Networking
• Configuration of system extensions either on-line or off-line
• Participate to the upgrade hardware and software
• Commissioning and startup of our systems
• Provide specific ad hoc training upon request of customer
• Actively participate in Honeywell’s LSS growth plans and identify opportunities to provide additional services in the installed base
• Support during exigencies when in stand-by is mandatory
• Support to board a vessel in correspondence with vessel schedule is mandatory

Requirements

• Minimum Degree in an engineering field, preferably Instrumentation & Control, Electrical, Electronic, Computer Engineering
• Minimum 3- years of experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of DCS systems
• Experience with Modbus/SCADA/OPC interface
• Honeywell Experion PKS and/ or Honeywell TPS/TDC will be a distinct advantage
• Knowledge with PLC Allen Bradley and Loop Tuning will be advantageous
• Control and Shutdown philosophies
• Experience on multiple Oil/ Gas/Petrochemical projects
• Fluent English communication skills is essential
