Field Service Engineer (Oil & Gas)

Job description / Role

This position reports to the field service manager. The position maintains consistent interface with all company engineers. Coordinators, Workshop Supervisors, and Customers.

The successful candidate will be in contact with, and may direct customer’s maintenance superintendent, foreman, construction managers, trades and crafts such as millwrights, carpenters, riggers, boilermakers, pipe fitters, cement finishers, electricians, and transportation people. This position impacts very heavily on future sales for my client since prompt, efficient service is one of the most effective sales tools. Incumbent will keep local sales engineer, who handles account, appraised of progress and problems. Candidate requires within in Saudi Arabia and the GCC and is on call 24 hours per day, seven days a week.

-Maintain the highest standard of service to Customers in allocated areas.
-Establish high visibility at plant maintenance and operator levels by direct contact and regular follow-up.
-Maintain Company image by providing sound professional advice based on excellent product knowledge and experience.
-Provide both the Company and the Client with an accurate record of work performed and actions taken, together with conclusions and recommendations as required.
-Maintain the highest standard of readiness/maintenance of allocated equipment and tools, such as measuring equipment, vehicle and laptop.
-Provide a next level of Technical support to Sales Engineers in their efforts to develop product business.
Job needs may require 60-70% of travel time in a month.
-Provide support to the in-house assembly, repair and dynamic testing of Pumps.

Requirements

-Intermediate technical education in Mechanical Engineering
-Willingness to travel to any country in Middle East to fulfil field service activities
-Practical experience in rotating equipment is essential.
-Specific knowledge and experience of high energy pumps or compressors is desirable.
-Must be able to read and interpret P&I.D.'s and have a sound working knowledge of flow and pressure instrumentation and control devices.
