Job description / Role
For Customers:
Provide high levels of 1st line support to agreed preventative maintenance plans.
Hardware installation, configuration and maintenance.
Receive and process incoming support calls through to completion.
Production of customer facing technical documentation to support projects.
Main Responsibility:
Maintenance of field based systems, including in vehicle hardware, on street displays, and back office systems.
Maintenance of all documentation and reports.
Liaise with projects and implementation teams to plan and facilitate client delivery.
Identify additional sales opportunities for the companies products and services.
Carry out all tasks in line with Company Quality requirements.
Monitor and maintain levels of stock.
Achieve exceptionally high levels of first time fix
Manage the production and update of technical documentation.
Proactively produce plans to reduce incidents
Good overall understanding of system functionality end to end
Requirements
Previous testing, analysis, and trouble shooting of complex electronic systems
Must be able to use scope-meter, multi-meter, and other test equipment.
Be able to read electrical and mechanical drawings, circuit diagrams, wiring schematics, etc.
Effective mathematics skills to perform measurements and calculations.
Be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite.
Have an understanding of mobile vehicle radio, modems, mobile data terminals, audio and analog circuits, and GPS hardware.
Be able to follow procedures and instructions to troubleshoot mobile vehicle hardware and software systems.
Ability to manage multiple personnel and teams with competing deadlines.
Prefer previous experience with automotive computer electronics, commercial mobile radio installations, and or mobile hardware assembly and testing.
Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must produce job related correspondence, documentation, and reports. This position is visible and must maintain a high level of professionalism in both appearance and actions in challenging environments.
