Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Process / Operational
• Reading Design layout of energy distribution, water pipes and ventilation systems.
• Identifying the materials and equipment to be used in the various systems.
• Carrying out tests on systems and making changes to plans where necessary.
• Monitoring the installation of services and their maintenance.
• Liaising with plumbers, electricians, surveyors, architectural technologists and other construction professionals.
• Managing 3rd party team of people and working closely with them to get the work completed on time and to a high standard.
• Time management skills are vital
• Inspection of all operating parts to ensure proper operation within expected tolerances.
• Tune and troubleshoot equipment for proper operation.
• Clearly and professionally interact with customer, regarding status of commissioning, on a daily basis.
• Able to determine tools and equipment required to perform scope of job.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment, and assist in establishing preventative maintenance schedules with customer.
• Assemble, align, and install equipment as necessary.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or Technology with a Minimum of 5+ years of directly related experience.
Must know English & French Languages.
• Or an Associate of Science Degree in Engineering or Technology with 10+ years of directly related experience.
• Must have strong experience with PLC control logic.
• Must have working knowledge of blueprints, schematic drawings, and other drawings in an industrial establishment to determine work procedures.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
• An eye for detail and good understanding of engineering practices.
• Excellent numeracy and a good level of scientific understanding.
• Strong communication skills, particularly oral/interpersonal skills.
• Excellent with people and time management skills.
• The ability to work well both as part of a team, and on your own initiative.
• Strong technical skills.
• Good IT skills and a familiarity with industry-specific software.
