Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

To ensure that all the data captured to support the Business stream is accurate, robust and delivered in an efficient and timely manner. The provision of meaningful and insightful analysis to assist in critically evaluating current and future performance through developing dynamic business models.

Business Intelligence
•Use the Sales, Margin and Mix analysis to explain deviations from plan and prior year by major/family group and identify opportunities to improve the mix
•Analyse discount report and compare to sales growth and investigate further the reasons why the business may be over/under investing

Control Framework
•Analyse GAP report and identify stores where there are significant differences between theoretical and actual margin. Liaise with Inventory team and the Ops team to investigate further and fix the issue
•Analyse the Wastage report, highlight exceptions by Stream/Outlet/Group. Work with the Operations team to develop a plan to actively reduce
•Access AX on a regular basis to review that GL entries are in line with plan (Payroll/Rent/Other overheads) and ensure that all entries are complete for month end
•Initial all LPO's before commitments are made to suppliers and escalate any significant/unexpected spend to line Manager
•Complete monthly statistics for Franchiser and calculate royalty payment
•Review Stream & Store P&L's and highlight any variances vs Budget and PY
•Review all recipe changes and ensure that systems are updating accurately
•Validate monthly information for all incentive plans and align with objectives
•Work with HR team to ensure correct and accurate records are kept on attrition, and recruitment and control over expenses on recruitment
•Liaising with AR /AP team and IT team to ensure daily transaction processing at store level is accurate
•Review and approve store expenses and review cost around transportation, events and events analysis.

Operational Excellence
•Gather all inputs required for annual Budgets (Revenue & CAPEX) and maintain a dynamic model with the ability to support scenario planning
•Prepare rolling 12 month forecast and track changes vs Budget and PY

Requirements

Essential:
•Newly or part qualified Accountant
•2 – 3 years financial or commercial experience in accounting/analytical roles
•Advanced skills in Excel and use of Business Intelligence Analytical tools
•Ability to manage large volumes of data and develop models to capture data efficiently
•Attention to detail – maintain integrity of data and ensure all analyses is robust and accurate
•Budgeting & Forecasting for multiple business units

Desirable:
•Working experience in the UAE
•Knowledge of local market environment & trends, government policy and regulatory requirements
•Knowledge of Food & Beverage Sector
