Employment: Full Time

Role Purpose:
The Finance Controller will directly support the General Manager within a fast expanding well-funded Food and Beverage companys on the achievements of spend, budgets, monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget and provide direct and commercial support and ensure legislative and company's standards are complied and adhered to multi sire retail and service operations. As well as this the role will have an integral understanding of corporate policies and procedures as well as a innate understanding of the tendering processes.

Job Description:

Establish, maintain, and coordinate the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures.
Manage the preparation of monthly report for actual revenues, transfers, and expenses.
Pro-active financial and commercial management for existing business.
Manage the local accounting function in respect of purchases, payroll and operational expenses.
Provide information to the Finance teams to issue invoices on a timely basis.
Study, analyze and report on all variances pertaining to costs and inventory management.
Prepare audit reports for approval of General Manager.
Reviewing monthly/quarterly financial statements (P&L, B/S, Cash flows in accordance with IFRS) prepared by Accounting and submitting for CFOs review. Rep. financials to HQ;
Leading the process of Monthly/Quarterly sales forecasting and yearly budgeting by liaising between finance, sales, marketing, logistics, HR and purchasing across the UAE and the greater GCC area
Providing marginal analysis of business units and GM% and CGM% analysis of each product individually. Identifying high-runners & low-runners, low margin and high margin products and reporting to BU Heads and CFO.
Providing monthly regional performance analysis.
Holding monthly MRM (Management Review Meetings) with responsible BU Heads. Providing monthly variance analysis of actual vs. budget expenses;
Ensuring compliance with Groups policies, reviewing efficiency of internal controls.
Others: improving inventory DSI; KPIs; liaising with auditors, marginal analysis of orders.

Requirements

Skills & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting , preferably Chartered Accountant or CPA (Western educated candidates with UAE experience will have strong preference).
Minimum 10 years of Finance Controller experience - ideally in retail, hospitality, F&B, restaurant or airlines professional background.
Expert in management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and feasibility studies.
Excellent report writing skills.
Analytical thinker, well organized, with the ability to develop and implement strategies.
Experience leading process and system improvements.
Ability to speak and present complex data at board level confidently and competently.
Strong communication and influencing skills.

Salary: The remuneration package for this role will be 35-40 K (depending on candidate profile) plus medical, visa and annual flights to home country.
