Employment: Full Time

Develop the Group Financial Strategies for AAG in order to achieve the short and long term business objectives of the company in line with the vision and mission.
Cascade the Financial Strategy for implementation through the various finance sections of the entities or Business Units to align all the finance function with the overall corporate and financial strategy and assess organizational performance against both the annual budget and AAG long-term strategy.
Participate in developing new business initiatives/ projects, identifying new investment opportunities, funding opportunities, the drafting of prospective program budgets and monitor Group investments to devaluate and recommend the financial return on future investment opportunities.
Lead the Treasury activity to ensuring company is adequately funded to meet its short and long term cash requirements through efficient treasury (including funding facilities with financial institutions) and funds management to improve profitability and optimum returns and provide the shareholder, corporate staff, customers, lenders and the community, with confidence in AAG strategy.
Oversee the financial and investment strategies to ensure that funds are safeguarded and profitably invested. Ensures that proper liquidity funding for the AAG development is available.
Oversee the coordination and activities of independent auditors ensuring all audit issues are resolved, and all compliance issues are met and ensure the preparation of the annual financial statements in accordance with reporting standards and requirements.
Develop and maintain systems of internal controls to safeguard financial assets of the organization.
Provide guidance in developing Companys corporate and functional budgets , costs management and approves plans for budgets and develop effective tools to read and monitor financial performance versus the budget so that the business meets its short term financial objectives. Monitors progress against plans and budgets and alert concerns to favorable and adverse variances - ensuring appropriate actions for minimizing variances.
Provide guidance in financial reporting and control through recommending best practices and ensure appropriate and strong financial control measures and monitoring mechanism are in place and all Financial reports of the company are timely completed and comply with international Accounting and Financial reporting standards e.g. IAS, IFRS and company financial policies and standards.
Provide guidance and suggestions in the implementation of all financial IT systems, automate processes to reduce cost and improve efficiency, compliance and standardization of financial process and systems in line with finance objectives. Currently involved in the implementation of the Groups ERP system.
Ensure the effective achievement of Finance functional objectives through the leadership of the Finance department setting individual objectives, managing performance, developing and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal in order to maximize subordinate and departmental performance. Develop and manage operational plans and budgets for the finance function in line with the approved business plan and monitor actual VS budget cost. Build a strong financial team in order to ensure versatility and adequate succession cover.

Requirements

Qualifications Requirements

Education:

Master's degree / MBA with CPA or CA accreditation.

Experience:

10-15 years of which 5 at a senior / director level.

Competencies:

In depth knowledge and experience in accounting and reporting standards; local regulations related to audit, risk and compliance.
Outstanding technical and business written communication skills.
