The RoleThe RoleObjective of the role: 1. Assist in closing of monthly accounts and preparation of monthly MI Finance pack with accurate details and analysis. This is in coordination with GFO, HDPI. 2. Assist in preparation of all GHQ Finance and GRCA returns. This is in coordination with GFO, HDPI. 3. Assist in preparation of all GR reporting requirements with detailed analysis and commentary. 4. Assist to coordinate and prepare of the Rolling Operating Plan (ROP) and Profit Estimates of GSC Egypt. 5. Assist in reconciliation as well key person for liaison with GFO, HDPI on all GSC Finance operation matters (invoicing-AR, payments-AP, Reporting, etc). Job Description: • Assist in preparation of timely and accurate reporting and reconciliations for all GSC Egypt financial reports and returns (local, GR and GHQ requirements). • Assist in the preparation & co-ordination of Rolling Operating Plans and Latest Estimates. • Assist to liaise with external auditors and tax agents for statutory audit reports and tax return submissions for GSC Egypt. • Intercompany confirmation and co-ordination • Assist in the co-ordination of monthly closing with related departments in GSC Egypt. • Assist to ensure proper controls within Finance reporting processes Management of Risk (GHR / FIM requirements) To abide by the Group Compliance Policy by containing compliance risk in conjunction with the relevant Compliance Department. The term compliance embraces all relevant laws, rules and codes with which the business has to apply. To continually re-assess the operational risks inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures, management restructures, and the impact of new technology in conjunction with the donor Group companies. Major Challenges • Initial set up of the entity will require the individual to play an active role in ensuring processes, reports, systems and controls are in place and effective. • Production of timely, accurate and meaningful information / reports that is useful for decision making. • Understanding of changes in accounting standards and HSBC Group Finance FIMs & accounting policies and the impact the changes have to the financial reports Role Context (The environment and operating conditions of the role including the extent of guidance and authority) • GSMs and Functional Instruction Manuals – Finance • Accounting Standards & IFRS • Procedures and instructions issued by GHQ FIN • Local /International laws and regulations • Standard operating procedures and policies of GSC Egypt • Manager Finance, AM-AP and AM-AR of GSC Egypt Role Dimensions • GSC Egypt Balance Sheet > USD1.6 million worth of assets, Revenue & cost of > USD5 million respectively |
RequirementsRequirements• Minimum degree holder – fresh graduate or 1 year relevant experience. • Team player and responsible to ensure deadlines are met • Reasonable knowledge of Local & International Accounting Standards and accounting principles • Reasonable communication & interpersonal skills |
