Job description / Role
Our client is Media Group operating across the Middle East and Asia. Head Quartered in Dubai, the group is now looking to further expand into developing markets by hiring additional Finance Staff for their growing operations overseas.
Reporting into the Group Finance Director, you will be responsible for several entities and a team of finance staff.
Responsibilities include:
• Annual Budgeting: Assisting the Senior Finance Manager in the annual budgeting process and monitoring budgeting spend.
• Accounting & Finance: Responsible for Accounts Payable, Receivable and aging analysis. Plays a key role in preparing month-end and year-end accounts for Head Office.
• Tax: Ensuring compliance of Tax laws and regulations for Afghanistan – payment and management of tax returns.
• Audits: ensure preparation and completion of Statutory and Grant Audits, help provide any information required by external audit firms.
• Banking: Bank interaction required: Opening LCs, transferring funds, issuing bank guarantees.
Requirements
• Fluent English communication skills (written & spoken), additional knowledge of local languages such as Dari and Pashto is a distinct advantage.
• Afghan Nationals will be given preference.
• Prior experience of Afghan Tax rules is an advantage.
• Degree educated in Finance/Accounting or fully qualified.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in accounting and finance.
• Audit experience is required.
• Accounting ERP experience necessary and MS AX (MS Dynamics) would be beneficial.
• Excellent communications skills with various cultures and good presentation skills.
