Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Our Client, a Luxury Retail Company is hiring an Arabic speaking "Finance Manager" to lead the Finance, Accounting and Administration activities for the Group, while supporting the top management and shareholders in taking sound decisions and protecting the interest and assets of the company, securing financial accuracy and relevancy in the reporting systems.

Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Team Management:
- Lead, develop and motivate his team within his scope of responsibility, including accounting, (IT?), and ensure an efficient interaction with the other departments, and an appropriate support.

Accounting and treasury:
- Supervise and control payment and treasury operations at a Group level, while ensuring a timely and effective collection of customers payments, and a reliable double signature system. Support his team to manage debtors accounts and deal with late payments, jointly with the sales department; Inform the Managing partner and Sales Director on outstanding issues and report early potential debtor problems. Define with management the payment policies for customers and ensure they are followed at a group level. Prepare annual reporting of results, legal filings and tax declarations as required.

IT:
- Ensure that the company has the proper IT tools (systems and infrastructure) to operate efficiently and achieve its objectives, and build a highly efficient and reliable IT operation.

Policies and procedures:
- Develop and implement common operating procedures for Dubai and Beirut operations, covering his areas of responsibility, in a common agreement with the owners and general management; make recommendations about procedures and policy changes.

Data collection & Analysis, Reporting and Risk management:
- Develop regular reporting and financial / business analysis, with key indicators, that will allow management to follow the company's activity and take the appropriate decisions in due time. Prepare the annual budgets and intermediate revisions if necessary. Prepare regular monthly reporting of sales and expenses results, for the management, analyse variances from the budget and propose corrective actions. With his team, ensure that relevant data is collected in the most efficient and reliable way, assess, analyze and interpret the information, and supervise the data collection system and automation; Undertake risk assessment analysis to keep company exposures within established risk limits.

General Administration Services:
- Responsible, with his team, to follow up with the service providers and to manage relations and negotiations with suppliers of general services: telephone, rents, supplies, logistic services, IT equipment and services, etc.; to set the contractual frame and negotiate with them the optimal conditions for the company in a win-win relationship. Ensure all documentation is recorded and filed correctly; deal with all other administrative duties related to the function, including HR administration.

Member of the Management Team:
- Act as a core member of the executive team, supporting the business development, and participating in setting the strategy and taking the key decisions related to the business and the organization.

Requirements

- University Degree in Business/ Finance, MBA is a plus.
- Proven experience, minimum 7 years, in finance and accounting in the goods industry/ service sectors , with a solid knowledge of finance, accounting, budget and cost control, and an understanding of business and financial environments.
- Leadership with ability to influence and convince while combining a soft and firm approach, and a high capability for dialogue and negotiation.
- Entrepreneurial (start-up) mindset with initiative and solution orientation, flexibility and pragmatism, capable to proactively work under pressure in a fast moving environment.
- Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking, with good judgment.
- Strong organizational skills and structure with the ability to manage priorities, resources, multiple tasks and projects in a complex changing environment. Sense of rigor and detail, while keeping the big picture.
- Team player while remaining autonomous.
- High level of responsibility and accountability, with the sense of loyalty and business ethics.
- At ease with IT applications such as Office as well as finance and accounting software programs.
