Finance Manager – Operations

Job description / Role

Exciting career opportunity for a Finance Manager - Operations to be based in Qatar working for a leading Trading and Services group in Doha.

Based in Qatar, a Finance Manager - Operations will be responsible for the commercial support to the General Manager working closely with the GM, prepare credible financial forecasts, budgets, full-fill statutory accounting obligations, applying controls in the management of the business. Furthermore, you will prepare Net Profit forecasts as required, support budget preparation & upload. As a Finance Manager - Operations you will monitor Sales pipeline & backlog & preparation of revenue forecast and 'gap to close'. You will improve internal control around revenue & GM recognition, review aging of accounts receivable, and inventories and working capital. Also, you will build Customer profitability reporting and improve Monthly Reporting and MBR Pack on an ongoing basis.

Requirements

Finance Manager - Operations needs to have the below skills and expertise:
• Accounting / finance professional with 5+ years in a similar position in an large multinational or a large Trading & Services family group within the region
• Completion of a Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance
• International certifications (CPA, CA, CIMA, ACCA, ACA) is a must
• In depth knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting and cost management principles and practices.
• Ability to analyse financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections, experience
• Supervisory experience with attention to details and strong problem solving skills.
• Ability and willingness to relocate to Qatar. The candidates currently based in Doha would be preferred.
• Working knowledge of GAAP/IFRS
