Finance Manager - Processes and Systems - MNC Engineering Company

Our client, a reputable MNC in the power generation and engineering sector, with global operations, is seeking to recruit an experienced Finance Manager with a solid track record in driving improvements in processes and systems, to be based in their global headquarters in Dubai, UAE. This role provides excellent exposure to working closely with the FD and with multiple overseas locations with this MNC.

Reporting to the Finance Director, this position will include responsibility for:

• Working with the FD to analyse and drive improvements in the Finance function and key internal controls, policies and processes
• Documenting, developing and enhancing accounting policies and processes
• Coordinating the balance sheet reconciliation/ review process
• Leading the statutory filings process across head office, branches and subsidiaries
• Ensuring compliance with required financial and accounting standards and controls and establishing monitoring and reporting metrics over same
• Able to drive enhancements to key controls and to the efficiency of the accounts preparation process, across multiple sites
• Lead the Finance aspects of setting up new subsidiaries and implementing new ERP systems across sites
• Liaising with various stakeholders including internal business partners and external and internal auditors
• Acting as Security Champion including approvals, ensuring segregation of duties

Requirements

Candidates are expected to have at least 5 years hands-on post-qualification accounts experience. Candidates should have strong analytical and technical skills and be able to work to required reporting timelines.. Candidates should be willing to travel to overseas sites and have good communication and influencing skills.

A bachelor's degree in a finance-related discipline, together with a recognised accounting qualification is a requirement, as is knowledge of accounting software and controls. CPAs, ACAs, Chartered Management Accountants or Certified Accountants will be preferred. Auditing and internal controls experience is a strong preference as is Orange belt/ Six Sigma training given the nature of the role.

Remuneration: Commensurate with the role.
