Finance Manager - Riyadh

Key Functions:
This position will hold responsibility for the full accounting and controller function including internal controls, financial reports and scheduled submissions to Head Office (HO). This role is based in Riyadh, KSA and will involve regular coordination with the finance team in Dubai.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Leading a team of 13 staff, your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
• Responsible for the day-to-day financial accounting needs of all KSA legal entities. This includes maintaining and closing accurate monthly accounts timely and in compliance with IFRS;
• Keep abreast of changes and ensure compliance with local financial regulations, legislation, tax laws, IFRS and PMGL Accounting Policies and Procedures;
• Prepare annual statutory accounts for ALL KSA legal entities in coordination with the external auditors;
• Complete and submit the monthly reporting pack to HO reconciled to the Balance Sheet with adequate commentary for reader’s to understand the nature/composition of the entities assets & liabilities;
• Conduct reviews and make recommendations for cost-reduction and/or cash saving initiatives,
• Proactively propose and implement improvements to local accounting processes along with internal controls to facilitate accurate and timely reporting;
• Monitor and interpret cash flows in coordination with the group’s Treasury Manager and ensure operational compliance with PMGL’s purchasing policy & Chart of Authority;
• Ensure all bank accounts are reconciled monthly and submitted to the group’s treasury department;
• Manage the audit of 3 KSA Legal entities ensuring annual audits are carried out timely;
• Develop external relationships with appropriate contacts e.g. auditors, banks, etc;
• Supervise finance team ensuring the team is adequately trained on the group’s financial systems. Promote team working and set clear objectives for the local finance team;

Requirements

Profile & Skills:

• Qualified accountant with over 5 years post qualification experience;
• Audit experience with one of the Big 4 audit firms is desirable;
• Proven management experience with excellent English communication skills and fluent in written and spoken Arabic;
• A fun, positive dynamic self-starter who can motivate others in the team;
• Ambitious, hard working and career oriented;
• Flexible to change and easily adaptable to a fast changing environment;
• A professional individual with strong organizational skills;
• Excellent communicator at all levels with strong problem-solving & decision making skills;
• Proactive and forward thinking - able to challenge the status quo where necessary and recommend new approaches / efficiencies;
• Excellent attention to detail and able to work under pressure within a changing and fast paced commercial environment;
• A high level of computer literacy to include: MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Great Plains;
Education:
• Qualified accountant holding either a CPA, CMA, ACCA or CIMA qualification.
