Job Description
The jobholder is responsible for overall management of the Finance function of Standard Chartered Holding (Asia Pacific) B.V. Dubai Branch. This includes responsibility of all day to day

1) Finance accounting & operations.
2) Financial & management reporting.
3) Financial risk & controls.
4) Comprehensive business performance review with the SCH stakeholders.
5) Preparation and audit of its financial statements.
6) Implementation of Projects (if any).
Key Roles & Responsibilities

To Financial Controller:

Consultation and guidance on overall management of the SCH function. Bring about synergies and process improvements and implement best practices in the performance and delivery of BAU.

Strong performance management and insight on SCH numbers and business drivers.

Proactive balance sheet management.

Accurate and timely production of all financial and management reports.

Budgeting and Forecasting.

Ensuring compliance with the Financial Controls Policy (FCP).

Ensuring efficient processing of all accounts payable transactions.

Effective management of Finance systems.

Management of internal and external audit assignments.

Escalate all risk and issue to the Financial Controller who will represent the issues at the country FORC.

To CEO, SCH:

Contribute actively to the SCH governance and risk committee headed by the CEO

Partner the SCH CEO and business in driving business performance and strategy.

Provide information, analysis, insight, advise, challenge and ideas on financial performance.

Budgeting and Forecasting.

Provide analysis on Cost and other MIS reports.

Represent SCH finance in the country BORC.

To Regional Head of Consumer Banking:

Since the UAE Consumer Banking Business funds the SCH costs, it is important to Provide information, analysis, insight, advise, challenge and ideas on financial performance.

Budgeting and Forecasting.

Advise in driving business performance and strategy.

Proactive balance sheet management.

Accurate and timely production of all financial and management reports.

Requirements

Qualifications & Skills

1. Preferably a qualified Chartered Accountant or an MBA with previous experience in a banking or financial service sector and familiar with the Bank's processing and accounting systems.

2. Should be resilient, a self starter with well developed communication and interpersonal skills.

3. Should possess knowledge of banking transactions and have general knowledge of banking regulations.

4. A confident professional capable of making significant contribution to the SCH entity.
