Our client is a subsidiary of a local group based in Abu Dhabi with businesses in real estate, F&B and trading.
We’re searching for a young, energetic, ambitious Finance Manager (around 30 years old) who will grow and develop with the company.
You’ll oversee 2 Accountants and will be report directly to the CEO. The CEO is a well-educated, dynamic entrepreneur, searching for his ‘right-hand man’.
Duties & Responsibilities as follows:
Accounts Management
Accounts Payable:
- Process Contractor / Supplier Invoices for payment approval;
- Prepare Payment Plan and reconcile supplier accounts as necessary;
- Checking of cheques prepared by Accountant
- Keep service providers’ contracts and maintain other relevant records; and
- Post purchases and payments into the system.
Accounts Receivable:
- Collect payments, issue receipts, facilitate deposits and monitor bank transactions;
- Monitor outstanding receivables and chase overdue ones;
- Issue Regular Receivables Report; and
- Enter and Post invoices and receipts into the system.
Maintain General Ledger:
- Maintain the Chart of Accounts;
- Checking & Process JVs;
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliation;
- Reconcile other Control Accounts;
- Maintain the Fixed Assets Register
- Prepare Variance Analysis Report (Budget vs. Actual);
- Finalize monthly and yearly Financial Statements;
- Coordinate with the Auditors for the close of yearly accounts.
Financial Management
- Implementation and compliance of financial standards and polices
- Review of internal control procedures & systems evaluation on timely basis
- Developing purchase systems / procedures, monitoring and controls
- Constantly evaluating and monitoring performance of critical parameters of the company
- Identify & implementation of process improvement
- Liaised with the statutory auditors, banks and internal auditors
- Finalizing independently, the year end accounts in liaise with statutory auditors.
- Routine Administrative work
Requirements
Chartered Accountant with at least 5 yrs PQE
Hands-on finance management experience in a small company
Must have dealt directly with banks
Around 10 years work experience
Only candidates living in Abu Dhabi will be considered.
