Employment: Full Time

Our client is a leading conglomerate based in Abu Dhabi with a strong foot print in the MENA region. Owing to exponential growth and re-structure to the organization they are currently looking for a high caliber individuals for their Civil Construction business unit.

The Finance Manager is responsible for the management of financial resources in order to maximize the short and long term financial performance of the company. He/She manages the financial plans and accounting practices of the company, oversees treasury and budget and supervises financial control and accounting standards.

General Responsibilities:
- Perform an advisory function covering various financial initiatives at tactical level supported by appropriate financial tools and information to facilitate informed decision making.
- Track business performance on all tactical decisions and highlighting issues and areas of concern to influence corrective actions
- Prepare the set of financial reports on a monthly basis and at year-end (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement, Change in Equity etc.);
- Maintain the accounting and collection procedures, investment activities, budgets, and other financial control functions;
- Monitor billing procedures through regular meetings with the FD.
- Monitor cash flow and predict the future trends through management of receivables;
- Review collection reports to determine the status of collections and the amounts of outstanding balances;
- Manage the efficient, effective and timely payments to suppliers and employees;
- Manage the annual budget and earnings forecast;
- Manage the banking facilities such as overdraft on local currency bank account, short term deposits etc.
- Payroll Administration.
- Regular reviews of business performance using benchmarks and KPIs to highlight and suggest improvements to overall effectiveness.
- Work with operation departments and senior management on developing business strategies and opportunities
- Enhance financial awareness to the business managers and share the responsibility as an equal partner in new projects undertaken to improve the financial performance;

Requirements

- Degree in Finance or related discipline, membership of any profession accounting institution. CPA (highly preferred)
- Must have 8-10 years of relevant experience working for sizeable construction companies within the UAE
- Big 4 background is highly preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Excels, PowerPoint and Access
- Acute business acumen and highly analytical
- Fluent in English and Arabic is essential
