Finance Manager

Job description / Role

Our client is an international organisation which offers Facility Management and professional facility services and they are currently seeking a Finance Manager for their office in Abu Dhabi.

Some responsibilities will include:
Overseeing the smooth and efficient running of the finance, accounting and treasury function.
Ensures compliance with statutory and auditing requirements.
Overall financial analysis of business performance and reporting to Senior Management on the same.
Budget variations and forecasts to be reviewed and presented in detailed Management reports.
Handle Asset Management and ensuring that all company assets are effectively accounted for and monitored accurately.
Instrumental in overseeing financial regulations and ensuring statutory compliance.
Effective communication with banks, managing banking relationships and involvement with the Treasury function pertaining to funding requirements and cash management
Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports that are appropriate for the users and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
Prepare monthly accounts (P&L and balance sheet).
Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures and ensure personnel/financial information is secure
Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and petty cash.
Oversee related payroll functions to ensure that employees are paid in a timely and accurate manner.
Maximizes return, and limits risk, on cash by minimizing bank balances.
Prepares budgets by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data; recommending plans.
Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.

Requirements

The Person:

Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
10+ years of progressively responsible experience for a major company or division of a large corporation in same field
Preference will be given to candidates with the Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designations
Excellent communication skills are essential, particularly in regard to presenting the results of analyses to management.
Outstanding knowledge of electronic spreadsheets.
Preference to candidates based in UAE for immediate face-to-face interview, located or willing to relocate in Abu Dhabi.
The salary for this role is 20,000 AED per month)
