Employment: Full Time

The Finance Manager is responsible for all accounting and finance activities for the MENA region of this global energy exploration and production organisation. The company also specialises in drilling and providing infrastructure technical services and services to the industry and operates worldwide in four geographical locations including Europe West Africa, the Americas, Middle East & North Africa and the Far East & Australia.

The role reports to the Regional VP of Finance and is a key partner to the three General Managers and Operations teams in the region in advising around the business and assists in the day to day running of the business operations as well as longer term business planning. Additionally, full policy implementation and documentation of corporate finance policies and procedures plus all financial planning and analysis regionally and for the corporate head office in the UK.

Key accountabilities include timely closure and reporting of management accounting books on a monthly basis for all the regions legal entities and provision of monthly management information to all Business Unit Managers within the reporting units as well as managing all the accounting, accounts payable and accounts receivable processes for the region; leading and mentoring the finance team, compliance with all statutory and tax reporting requirements for assigned legal entities including annual audits, tax returns and other legal filings; preparation of all forecasting and budgeting in line with corporate schedules and as per ad hoc requests from Business Unit Managers. The role also acts as a business partner to the General Managers and Operational Managers to develop business plans and maximise growth opportunities.

There will also be development of operational KPI’s and financial models, linking business development activities, customer opportunities to investment appraisal and market penetration.

There will be some travel involved as you will be expected to visit all sites in the region periodically.

Requirements

A university degree in the field of finance and/or finance management is required and a CIMA or ACCA qualification is preferred. Our client is also looking for a minimum of five years’ experience in Financial and Financial Management with experience gained preferably in a multi national organisation. A working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics being an advantage but not essential.
