Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Our client, a leading Middle East Group, is looking for a professional and experienced Finance Manager to join their team in Dubai.

The successful candidate must have experience working with one of the 'Big 4' as well as be a fully qualified accountant and will be responsible for the Fashion side of the business.

Job responsibilities include but not are limited to the following:

• Oversee the timely, complete and accurate/validate relevant activities related to month end closing for all regions.
• Ensure full support to ensure all statutory standalone financials are prepared.
• Monitor the FSSC performance against defined SLA’s and KPI’s.
• Ensure the statutory consolidated financial statements are prepared and issued on time.
• Operational risk assessment/process improvements in light of new ERP, streamline end to end processes and work through financial/control aspects of delivering strategy.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory, legal, taxation and Internal control requirements.
• Manage and coordinate the activities of the Inventory Controller.
• Review and strengthen loss/ fraud prevention controls within the business.
• Overview supplier payments and staff reimbursement in a timely manner, ensuring all approvals and disbursement of payments are in accordance with existing policies and procedures and agreed SLA’s.
• Cash flow monitoring – submit accurate fortnightly cash flow statements, including cash in/cash out reports, working capital drivers are clearly understood.
• Assist the CFO with new initiatives, business development, system upgrades, improvement projects across the Finance/Risk function.
• Maintain contacts with external auditors.
• Advise on financial initiatives at strategy level and support using appropriate financial tools.
• Track business performance on strategic decisions and highlighting issues and areas of concern to influence corrective actions.
• Perform regular reviews of business performance using benchmarks and KPIs to highlight and suggest improvements to overall effectiveness.

Requirements

The successful candidate must posses the following:

• Big 4 experience essential.
• Fully qualified ACA, CA, CPA or equivalent.
• 8 years minimum experience in Accounting/finance
• Retail experience.
• Strong working knowledge of an ERP system
• Excellent Excel, Word and MS office application skills.
• Added advantage: CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner).
