Finance Manager - ASPIRE LOGISTICS

• To plan and manage all activities pertaining to financial accounting in Aspire Logistics to ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial reports.
• Develop and ensure the implementation of the financial accounting strategy that supports the finance strategy, in line with company standards and best practice.
• Develop financial accounting policies and procedures in order to ensure consistency in departmental performance, in line with regulatory and statutory requirements and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Coordinate all statutory reporting requirements for year-end closing.
• Maintain the financial accounting system (chart of accounts, classification and cost codes assignments etc.) and review computer transaction listings and other accounting control documents in order to identify and check any unusual items and to generate accurate end-of-period reports.
• Provide the general status of accounting throughout the organization based on general ledger consolidation, in order to maintain accuracy and alignment with policies, procedures and timetables
• Manage corporate financial accounting and perform analytical review of major income, expenses and exceptions in order to ensure that the monthly accounts are closed and submitted on a timely basis and management is provided with adequate financial data and analysis to make informed decisions
• Ensure due support and coordination for the timely conduction of statutory audits of the company’s books of accounts and financial statements.

Requirements

• University degree in accounting or related.
• CPA / CA/ ACCA
• 12 years of related experience of which a minimum of 4 years should be in a similar position / responsibility, preferably in a similar Industry.
• GAAP and IFRS
• Automated financial and accounting reporting systems
• Local financial regulations

Aspire LOGISTICS was established by Emiri Decree number 1 for the year 2008 as the strategic business unit of Aspire Zone Foundation responsible for supporting the activities of Aspire Zone by:

• Building, operating and managing high quality international standard sport facilities • Providing support for staging of sport events and activities • Providing shared services support for the precinct’s business partners – ASPIRE Academy and ASPETAR
