GBP 60,000 / yr PLUS housing + car + medical insurance + flight home

Our client is a multinational company with HQ in Scotland. We’re searching for a Finance Manager to relocate to Tanzania, to oversee all the finances for the country’s operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for a young, dynamic British Finance Manager who wants to experience working in a fast-paced, hands-on role, in a business which turns over USD 25 million.

The role reports into the Head of Finance, Dubai.

Job Description

• The Country Finance Manager is responsible for all the accounting functions of the Tanzania business both for international and local reporting
• Ensures compliance with all Group financial policies, procedures and timetables
• Leads the preparation of accurate monthly, quarterly and yearly tax, and statutory reports
• Ensure that all sales invoices are issued in a timely and accurate manner
• Oversees more junior staff
• Ensures that customers pay in accordance with contracted terms
• Builds effective relationship with clients and suppliers across all levels of the business

Requirements

The preferred candidate will be a current resident of Tanzania or will have previous experience of working on long term residential international assignments, preferably in East Africa, and will be:

• British national
• Qualified accountant (cima, acca, aca) with around 8-10 yrs PQE
• Working as a Finance Manager for at least 3 yrs
• Able to deal simultaneously with multiple tasks
• Show high levels of customer orientation
• A completer, finisher
• Logical, structured, methodical
• Assertive but cooperative
• Able to cope under pressure
• Flexible in approach to working hours and duties
• Able to prioritise
• Highly focused on safety and quality
