Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Act as a source of information on insurance matters to patients
Address & manage pre-authorization disputes between Doctors and Insurance Companies
Prepare data analysis reports related to particular department or insurance companies.
Dispatch, collection and rejection reports are prepared and analyzed.
Monthly generation of statements from the system – credit companies.
Expert advice provided to internal and external clients on various insurance policies and coverage. Insurance training provided to staff as needed.
Age analysis report is utilized to identify outstanding balances.
Statements and reminders sent to clients as per guidelines.
Monthly collection targets are met.
Payments received are processed according to policies and procedures
Rejected amounts are analyzed and allocated as per standard procedure
Resubmit disallowed bills within stipulated period to insurance companies
Up to date on changes in insurance policies & protocols
Manage staff in terms of their performance, orientation and training
Guide and support staff in accomplishing work objectives to optimize operational efficiency Demonstrate an awareness of the key elementary rules and factors that play a role in running a business
High emphasis on customer satisfaction
Contribute towards Quality Improvement projects
Contribute positively towards the corporate image of the company

Requirements

Graduate of relevant Diploma or Bachelor's Degree course
Previous experience in healthcare industry or similar environment
At least three years supervisory experience Experience in the local insurance industry Knowledge of medical terminology is a must Computer literacy at intermediate level and good understanding of MS Office
Must be fluent in English (speak, read & write)
Well-developed interpersonal skills
