Job description / Role
The Accounts Officer will be assisting the Proliance Manager in all financial, commercial and compliance aspects of the Royal Atlantis project, including but not limited to tracking and reporting project costs, ensuring compliance to existing policies, procedures and identifying improvements and promoting good governance practices.
Requirements
- Daily accounting entries of commitments and payments in the Accounting Systems i.e. Timberline (until such time as Proliance is used independently), Proliance & PeopleSoft
- Assisting in management of payment cycle Managing Interim Valuation Summary, collecting invoices, verifying, processing and following up of payment of invoices.
- Tracking and updating of all commitments and invoices received against the commitments.
- Managing petty cash funds for the project, including issuance and collection of funds and reconciliation.
- Providing assistance during audits and/ or compliance checks.
- Ensuring proper controls on documents and records and adherence to existing policies and procedures, including but not limited to Tendering Procedures, Tracking commitments against budgets, Project post completion procedures.
- Close liaison with Legal Department on maintaining copies of statutory records i.e. Contracts, Performance Bonds, Guarantees, Warranties, Certificates. Escalate any potential issues to management.
- Managing all ad-hoc exercises and providing necessary support on required basis.
