PB (Parsons Brinckerhoff)
This position is part of a regional Middle East Finance team, and requires a close working relationship with the Group Accounting and Project Administration teams (in the UAE). Based out of KSA, the role provides broad experience in general accounting, compliance and taxation in a rapidly growing business.
The Finance officer assists with financial support in the KSA region to finance, project accounting and operational staff throughout the business. In addition, the role includes financial month end tasks & local taxation compliance work, reporting to the Financial Controller in the UAE.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Coordination of annual statutory audit with Deloitte
Coordination of annual tax audit with E&Y
Assistance with the monthly withholding tax return
Assistance with debt collection where required
Monthly GOSI return preparation
Assisting with payroll queries for KSA staff
Timesheet maintenance for local overhead staff
Maintain local petty cash floats in all locations
Coordination with the business for ad-hoc finance related tasks
Liaison with our local bankers
Ensure adherence to PB policy and procedure locally
Local payments when UAE is unavailable to process
Assistance with local bonds and guarantees for projects (directed from UAE)
SAGIA Certificate renewal
Accounts Payable contact for overhead costs in KSA
The successful candidate must be willing to travel within KSA to a number of project offices, mainly in the Jeddah and Riyadh areas of the country.
A good understanding of KSA taxation (personal, GOSI and corporate), and a good understanding of financial compliance in KSA is essential to the role.
Ability to speak Arabic fluently is preferred
Education and Experience:
Basic knowledge of General Accounting Principles
Knowledge of KSA tax laws and tax compliance requirements (both personal and corporate taxes)
Knowledge of KSA finance compliance
Knowledge and experience of ERP systems (specifically Oracle), MS Excel
Degree in Accounting and/or Information Systems
Organization and ability to prioritize
