Finance & Operations Manager (Western)

Job description / Role

Our client, a multinational manufacturing organisation headquartered in Germany, is looking for a Finance & Operations Manager to lead their finance, supply chain, admin and HR functions of the business.

This is an instrumental role within the business and reports directly to the regional MD. It is essential for this role that the successful candidate has considerable manufacturing experience gained within the UAE and is currently based here.

The Role

-Lead finance, supply chain and administration / human resources units.
-Develop and implement effective processes to deliver high efficiency in each unit within the Operations Department.
-Prepare budget and qualify data through direct engagement across departments.
-Establish a credit controlling mechanism to ensure payment of bills is made within the set terms and conditions per account.
-Lead annual internal/external auditing processes
-Monitor cost periodically and anticipate events through tangible measures in an aim to ensure the targeted profit / EBIT is achieved at all times.
-Administer logistics in terms of speed and efficiency with a clear focus on cost effectiveness and satisfactory customer services.
-Ascertain inventory is systematically and regularly controlled towards achieving turnover efficiency on the one hand and minimizing slow moving products on the other.
-Release the monthly KPI’s to Sales and Management with a focus on profit, collection and return on investment.
-Implement a price and margin control system that will serve as a tool to avoid margin erosion and to sustain the budget.
-Publish the monthly sales, profit and collection forecast and interact with the sale and engineered systems solutions employees during the business review meeting.
-Evaluate quarterly financial performance and recommend measures and solutions for continuous improvement notably in EBIT / profitability.
-Implement corporate human resources policy and continuously adapt to local rules and regulations.
-Facilitate a friendly administrative platform to all employees in the company.

Requirements

-University Degree in Finance / Business Administration.
-Minimum 5 years’ experience in the UAE.
-Well versed with local / regional legal framework as far as finance, controlling and supply chain activities.
-Proven management skills as a head of a Department with clear growth.
-Dynamic personality and process oriented individual.
Solid professionalism in finance, auditing, accounting, credit controlling and supply chain management in a multinational environment.
-Ability to administer human resources and develop management policies.
-Full understanding of management by objectives.
-Focused behavior towards achieving EBIT / Profitability.
-Cost conscience with an engaging drive to sustain budget.
-Background in manufacturing / industrial engineering is a plus.
-Fluency in English language. Arabic language is a plus.
