Job description / Role
Our client is a small but high profile organization with close links to the UK. They are searching for Finance and Operations Manager to work with the founder and oversee all finance, operational and company secretarial functions for entities in the UK and the UAE.
Core duties will include:
Responsible for full accounting of all entities, oversee day to day financial accounting and reporting activities including sales ledger, credit control, payments, cash flow, budgeting
Run the monthly payroll process, including consultant invoices, monitoring of staff overtime
Work closely with the MD on new business plans, including financial modeling and forecasting
Create and streamline existing accounting policies and processes to ensure efficiency and create a robust system of internal control
Fulfill all company secretarial duties
Liaise with external auditors
Prepare quarterly VAT returns for the UK entities
Requirements
Please note that all applicants must have direct experience of UK statutory accounting requirements, including VAT filings, company secretarial duties etc.
You must be a qualified accountant (CPA, ACCA, CA, CIMA)
Approximately 5-10 years accounting experience, ideally working for an SME
Extensive experience of financial / management reporting and project accounting
Ability to present and explain accounting information correctly and efficiently to management and non finance personnel – excellent interpersonal skills
