Job Purpose:
Leading the FP&A and commercial finance function for the MENAI region. The position will have a supervisory role in FP&A while being hands-on in the commercial finance domain

Job Responsibilities:
- Develops annual budget and creates framework for efficient variance analysis
- Develops quarterly updates to annual budget
- Performs monthly variance analysis and reports back to region and corporate
- Issues monthly dashboard and periodically assesses validity of used KPIs. Continuously monitors business activity and advises regional leadership of areas of concern
- Monthly financial management report to support business decision: working capital, OH spending, project portfolio
- Drive financial optimization through contract understanding, margin analysis and project investment action. Perform project reviews with project leadership team
- Identify risks and opportunities
- Pro-actively and independently develops financial modeling that supports the business needs
- Financial due diligence of new clients and subcontractors
- Ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting
- Be right-hand to regional Finance Director

Requirements

- MBA holder, CPA or Chartered Accountant
- At least 10 years construction and engineering industry exposure
- Previous experience of working for a multinational
- Solid technical knowledge of theory, principles and practices of construction accounting, budgeting, finance and ability to apply them to the business
- Ability to comprehend complex issues & exercise broad business perspective
- Ability to independently resolve complex problems where analysis requires in depth evaluation of numerous factors
- Strong grasp of business strategy, functions, markets, and risks
- Exhibits good judgment & performance under pressure
- Advanced Excel, Access, PowerPoint skills
- Good working knowledge of Oracle and Hyperion Essbase
- Demonstrates strong listening, written and oral communication skills
- Detail oriented but able to zoom out to larger picturer
- Ability to function effectively with minimal supervision
- Demonstrable financial modelling skills
- Ability to challenge processes and implement improved working methods
- Possess strong interpersonal skills to deal effectively with a wide variety of people assertively and confidently
- Focused professional with a record of achievement in implementing best practice
