Finance Project Manager – Oil & Gas Engineering

Finance Project Manager – Oil & Gas Engineering – one year contract

Our client is a multi-national organization providing various services to the oil & gas industry. A new role has been created for a Finance Project Manager to monitor and report on all costs relating to a large-scale project in Dubai.

Key responsibilities include:-

• Communicating financial performance, monitoring project costs, variance analysis, monthly forecasting, financial analysis, challenging senior management on costs
• Budget preparation – prepare accurate, realistic budgets for any new proposals
• Documenting all finance aspects of the project
• Work with legal teams to review all project contracts and agreements and provide support to all financial elements, including project costs and accounting treatment

Requirements

Essential requirements:-

• You MUST currently be based in Dubai, immediately available and able to commit to a one-year contract
• Qualified accountant – CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA
• 5+ years in a technical accounting role – ideally project accounting, costing, management reporting, capital accounting
• Experience of working on high profile, high value projects in oil & gas or a related industry
• Good working knowledge of IFRS
• Experience of working with legal contracts and agreements
• Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• Ability to present financial information to senior management, project sponsors etc.
