Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Required for a large insurance brokerage firm. Responsible for Internal Controls, Financial Reviews, Controls on Book keeping and accounting, Recommending improvements and thus adding value to the organization. Also be responsible for assisting or leading corporate investigations, risk management and compliance activities

- Planning and establishing clear goals for the audit of insurance brokerage activities
- Planning and undertaking risk based financial reviews and, identify issues and risks and devise cost effective and value enhancing recommendations to mitigate them.
- Collating, checking and analyzing financial spreadsheet data.
- Examining company accounts and financial control systems.
- Gauging levels of financial risk within the organization
- Ensuring financial reports and records are accurate and reliable.
- Ensuring company assets are adequately safeguarded.
- Identifying if and where processes are not working as they should, and advising on changes to be made.
- Preparing reports, commentaries and financial statements.
- Contributing to management by presenting findings and recommendations.
- Ensuring procedures, policies, legislation and regulations are correctly followed and complied with.
- Hold responsibility within the audit piece providing key outputs to stakeholders.
- Expand beyond the initial remit and take the opportunity to participate in ad-hoc project work adding diversity to the role
- Credit Control
- Budgeting, forecasting and analysis
- Controlling receivables, payables and cash flow
- Attending to payrolls, incentives, bonus and other employee related disbursements
- Controlling investments to maximize returns on investable funds
- Recommending strategic direction of the organization
- Advising on IT requirements of the organization

Requirements

- Insurance or Financial Services
- Master of Commerce or CA or Inter CA or ACCA or any equivalents from Recognized Universities
- Proficiency and Command of English Language
- At least 3-5 years in senior position post-qualification
- Insurance or Financial Services
- Internal audits or controls
- Any Nationality
- UAE business familiarity preferred
- Should possess Certificates attested by relevant authorities
