Financial Accountant – Bank & Treasury

You will be providing the organisation with the professional accounting and financial support that contributes towards the achievement of the company's strategic objectives. This includes advice and guidance on all aspects of accounting, financial, corporate governance, risk and control matters.

You will be performing financial accounting tasks related to the efficient and effective processing of all accounting transactions, ensuring that these are paid in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with company Policies and Procedures. You will contribute as a member of the Finance team, to the maintenance of a structured and transparent monitoring and reporting process.

Your accountabilities include but are not limited to:

• Manage and oversee the day-today activities associated with the company's bank accounts and cash forecasting ensuring sufficient funds are held to meet immediate requirements and ensure timely repatriation of surplus funds.

• Run the monthly payroll and pension process, liaising with HR to ensure that all payments and deduction are made on time and in accordance with company policies and procedures.

• Coordinate with other members of the Finance team, the completion of the month end financial closing timetable. Maintain and coordinate the maintenance of a Financial Calendar to enhance awareness and visibility of finance-related activities within the company

• Create invoices, record journal entries, and monitor payments related to miscellaneous accounts receivable, as required, to contribute to the timely and orderly processing within the finance team

Requirements

You will have a Business Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Equivalent.

You must have experience in the oil and gas industry in exploration and production.

You will have experience on SAP; as well as knowledge and experience of IT systems such as Outlook, Word, & Excel

You must have excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
