KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties shall include but not be limited to the following:
• Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options.
• Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
• Maintains financial security by following internal controls.
• Prepares payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements.
• Review and analyze monthly results to ensure accuracy of financial statements, making accruals and adjustments as needed.
• Maintain the accounting ledger.
• Prepare reconciliations.
• Produce and interpret financial records.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and monthly work in progress reports.
• Assist in cash management and forecasting.
• Perform financial analysis as required.
• Assist in special projects as required.
Requirements
JOB PROFILE
The Financial Accountant will contribute to the efficient and effective workings of the Finance Team by executing daily tasks with a strong attention to detail. This role will utilize strong accounting knowledge, time management skills and effective problem solving to ensure smooth operation.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
• Six years accounting experience
• Detail oriented, ability to show initiative and take responsibility
• Strong MS Office skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team oriented environment
• Effective time management skills
